Morden is a ordinary sort of suburban area about 10 miles from Central London with many commuters living in it. There is a mansion there in Morden Hall Park

The luxurious palaces in central London would be the ones the Royals live in like Buckingham Palace, St James' Palace and Kensington Palace
Write about what you know. It is obvious to your readers when you don't know your stuff.
Morden is a long way, both geographically and socially, from central London.
If you need to ask questions like this, you really shouldn't be writing a novel about it. Write about somewhere that you are familiar with. When you become famous and make lots of money, you can then travel and research unknown places.

It isn't in Central London. Have you heard of Google Streetview??
