Right now I am in Canada. So I am flying out of Canada To London. On a one way. Then I fly out of London back to Florida where I live.
Thanks.
The rules for travelling to London from the USA are different from travelling between the USA nad Canada. At 14 you are a minor and you will need to notify the airline beforehand and will require a notarised letter from your parents. Your uncle will also have to meet you at the other end and you will be accompanied by a member of the airline/airport staff until you are 'handed over'. You cannot reavel between continents and expect there to be similar arrangements.
My sister accompanied her Canadian boyfriend on a trip to New York from his home in Montreal and had to go through customs which he was unaware of and took much longer than he usually needed as Canadians do not need such stringent checks to enter the USA and vice-versa. If you check with your local British Embassy or Consulate they can advise you much more than anyone on this site. The British Embassy is in Washington DC and there are Consulates in Atlanta , Boston , Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York and San Francisco
It is very unlikely that you will be allowed to enter the United Kingdom on a one-way ticket, especially as a minor. The immigration rules are very strict. The default assumption is that you would be coming to stay, with no intention of returning. There are a lot of people who do this so you will not be treated any differently from them.
It has nothing whatsoever to do with whether your parents know what you are doing or not. That is a matter for the airline, who will have to carry you as an "unaccompanied minor". The airline will have to have your parents permission for that on an intercontinental flight.
The fact that you travel to Canada on single tickets is also irrelevant. The US and Canada have local mutual travel arrangements which do not apply outside of either country. You must NOT assume that the same rules apply between Canada and the UK.
You would be detained at the London airport without being allowed past the immigration passport check area; and then sent back to your airport of origin in Canada on the first available flight. This will be at your own expense so you will have wasted a lot of money.
The airline will not allow you on the flight to London at 14yrs old and with a single ticket and if they do, you will be held at the airport in London while child care services are called, your parents will be called and you will be escorted home to the USA..nipping to Canada from the USA is very different to International travel, so tell mummy you need a return air ticket, as a single ticket means you will not get land side in London but returned, you will also need mummy to arrange with the airline you are traveling alone ( if the airline you are traveling with allows this) and with written parental permission or you need to be accompanied and Uncle will meet you once his ID is checked in London....but hey you are 14yrs old, you know it all
Change the ticket. If possible, cancel the one way and get a return ticket.
A return ticket will be cheaper then 2 one way tickets
The return date on the ticket can always be changed to suit you.
First, they may not let you on the airplane without a notarized letter from your parents giving you permission to travel.
Second, they may not let you go with a one way ticket because they think you're going to stay. I know someone who bought a one way ticket thinking he could buy a cheaper ticket back there, but they wouldn't let him through immigration, and they put him on the next plane back to the U.S.
You will not be allowed entry in the UK. For one you are too young, and 2 you have to have a return ticket.
you will not be allowed into the UK on a one way ticket with no money you may not even be allowed to board the plane also check visa requirements
What exactly is your question then? You've argued with every answer given and according to you all international travel is the same, so....?
I smell a troll. I very stupid one at that.
Welcome Home to UK
