One country we are considering is Turkey, because of the warm climate and the rich variety of historical locations to visit. I am learning website development/design, and my boyfriend is becoming a structural steelworker, so what cities in Turkey are employing people in IT and construction?
Also, are there any small, cosmopolitan cities, or suburbs that have good schools, accessible amenities, are somewhat walkable, and are within driving distance to a beach?
You cannot move to another country just because you feel like it! Most countries in Europe are no longer taking immigrants, that includes Turkey. To move to any country either you or your husband must first get a job, and that is very difficult in the current economic climate, and to get a job in a country like Turkey will require specialist skills that are in short supply there. And, if you want to move to a non-English speaking country, you must be fluent in the language of that country.
Samsun is what came to my mind as soon as i read that. I think Samsun is where you are looking for. It does' t really have so many historical places but it is a really nice city.
As stated you will find it nearly impossible to move to any first world country without skills that are better than all of those who reside in your chosen country.
