How much money you need obviously depends on what you want to do while you are there but from past experience I would suggest a bare minimum of ￡300 per week assuming you will also be heading out for a bit of a drink in the evening. The bars and clubs in the centre of the resort do not charge for entry. Places like Tramps may charge for entry if they have a famous guest DJ playing which they do on certain days through out the summer. The popular bars in the centre of town (an area called Veronicas and Starco after the buildings they occupy) open around 9pm but things don't really pick up until after 11pm. I'm not sure of the current price for beach sun beds but it will be a few Euros. You can of course just buy a beach towel and throw that down where you want.

I love Tenerife but i prefer the less 'touristy' places. I always stay at Los Gigantes which is peaceful and has a cool little beach.

People eat late in the evenings.

i am going here in 3 weeks time and have a few questions. i will be there for 2 weeks and i am going by myself. how much spending money should i take? i am going self catering and do not mind cooking. what time do people go out at in the evening? what pubs and clubs are good, and do they charge entry fees in any of them? how much are sun beds on the beach for the day? any other advice appreciated. thanks.
