Where you live in Spain depends very much on where your father will be working, and Spain is a very big country. If his place of work is near the coast, then you might be able to live by the beach. But, if he's working inland, then you'll have to live close to his place of work and that could be many miles from the coast.
It seems from your other questions that you might be from the US. If that's the case, then I'm afraid you cannot bring your farm animals with you.
Wherever you live you'll want to get to know the language and make friends with the local kids. And the only way to do that is to go to school with them. Homeschooling is a very bad idea as it does not allow you to get to know people your age, and in fact will stop you becoming part of the community. Even though it will be hard, the best thing to do is mix with others as soon as you can.
The crime rate is much lower than the US, and Spain is a much safer country. As for the climate, this depends on which area of Spain you move to, and as I said before, that will depend on where your father's job is located.
Where has your dad been offered the job as Spain is a big place and we cant suggest where to live until we know what area you will be in. The unemployment in Spain is very bad and the financial crises a lot worse than UK, there is just under 45 million people live in Spain. I you want to live near the beach then it will be a holiday resort and there is a lot of asian/african/moroccan immigrants there, food prices in Spain are double UK prices. As for people being nice to you they will be very wary with you for a long time and the spanish teenagers are normally very private people and hard to talk to, as for the climate again it depends where you are in Spain because north of spain is cold during the winter and very hot during the summer and the further south you go the warmers it is, Good Luck
CALM DOWN!!! You're gonna be FINE!
First, you can't just pick a place to live...you have to be close to your dad's work. THAT should be your first point of discussion.
There are places near beaches, where you could probably have enough land to keep your animals, but if your dad's job is in Madrid, you won't be living in one of them.
People will be nice to you if you are nice to them, and if you try to speak a little Spanish. If you want to go to school in their schools, you'll want to be closer to fluent. Your mom home-schooling you will be a good plan, while you learn the language. BE NICE TO HER AND DO YOUR WORK!!! (I could NEVER homeschool my son!)
Crime rate? Much lower than most countries...but it depends where you are. Most violent crimes are perpetrated upon people who are well-known (like domestic violence). Casual crimes are mostly pickpocketing.
Friendliness...I find the people to be very friendly...they are especially friendly and helpful if you try to be open to them.
population - varies
Climate - varies.
Hey! :) I'm moving to Spain bc my dad was offered a job there in a couple weeks. It's so overwhelming! I'm gonna miss my school, friends, my favorite places to hang out, my family and I'm just exhausted from thinking about it! What should I expect when I get there? (I'm learning Spanish on Rosetta stone and have been for a few weeks) wheres the best place to move to? We have farm animals so we need a place with atleast 6 or 7 acres. We also want to be by the beach or atleast bike riding distance from it where it would only take thirty minutes to and hour. My mom is planning on homeschooling is the first year we live there(shes never done that so its gonna be interesting...) we also wanna be by a village with supermarkets. Do you think people will be nice to me? I'm a teenage girl. I know this question is kinda scattered but I'm both excited and scared for my life! Please include crime rate, climate, population, freindlyness, and anything else about the place you suggest! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! :)
