Romanian people brag about their violent and zero education women and the history they stole from Bulgaria,Hungary and ancient Italy.
Think TWICE when you go to Romania!!
I will think thrice.
My husband and I went to Transylvania 8 or so years back.
The mountain region was lovely and the people simple and friendly.
However on our drive through Romania we were afraid for our lives a few times.
Winding roads where other drivers tried to shove us off the road. Seems we had Hungarian plates on our car as we were driving from Hu into RO.
Many people in Romania hate the Hungarians and they let us know we were not welcome. Funny since I am American but happened to be in a HU car.
I know people who lived in RO during the cold war years, they were Hungarians who got stuck in Romania when they stole Hungarian lands after WW11. They were always treated like second class citizens in Romania but not allowed to leave and move into the new area of Hungarian land.
When we stopped to eat a meal in Ro in a normal cafe, it took over one hour to get our food. My husband was guessing that they didn't have any of the items on the menu and that someone actually had to run to the store and buy fresh food for our meal. Most people just came into the cafe to drink booze, no one ate there. Went out to eat our food and there were so many starving stay dogs coming around that I couldn't eat, just left my meal for them.
Sad palce, also every park we drove buy had no grass and no flowers, just dirt. Just cross over the boarder into HU and every little village had flowers growing and grass in their parks. Just a sad depressing country from what I saw.
When we stopped to purchase petrol literally 5 people ran to our car trying to sell homemade chairs and junk to us, like going into Mexico from San Diego.
Ferentari is the equivalent of detroit in Romania.
I toured there for 10 days, and NEVER saw any of the things that you describe....
Romanian men are know for their violence and are proud of it.
