Santorini Greece help?

Hi my any my partner 23 are going to Santorini the 5th if October for 10 nights .. We want to know the best area for good foodie restaurants bit the typical pub cheap grub !! A nice chill out nightlife with good cocktail bars not the cheap karaoke type and a beach not so far !! Any help to what part would be great thanks ????

I just got back from Santorini and I don't know what these people are talking about?! I could have spent a month there!!!! I would try to stay in Perissa (great black sand beaches there, great little restaurants and cheaper than in Fira or Oia, not sure how much stays open around october though)

Rent a quad or a little smart car and you can travel all around the island super easy. Watch the sunrise from Kamari Beach (not far from Perissa) We stayed in Fira (great little town with great people and lots of nightlife).

You must go to Taverna Glaros on the way to see Red Beach the owner is the sweetest Greek lady ever and the food is delicious (there is one with the same name by the airport but you want to go to the one near Akrotiri)

Staying in Fira it only took us like 20 min on a quad (about 50km or less/hr) to get to Perissa Beach. When you are on the main road heading north/south on the island you can see the sea on both sides, it's really not that big. But lots to explore. They have some great wineries on Santorini as well mmmmm. Enjoy your trip, it is one of my most favorites places on earth.

Santorini for days in Otober is not the best of choices. Especially this year when the weather plays funny games between rainy and sunny days.

Anyway, 10 days is still too much for that island. Consider the option of moving to another island for half of that time.

Regarding prices, Santorini, because is much visited island and therefore clients are never missing, prices are rather a bit higher that elsewhere. So, Cheap and Santorini is not compatible.

Plainly you have not done any basic research about your destination .

Santorini is the shattered and flooded remnant of a vast very ancient Volcano .

The main town is perched up on the cliffs overlooking the ancient flooded crater where you can see the latest volcano growing out in the middle . The main town is where all the nightlife is .

The beaches are located on the outside rim of what remains of the volcano mountain cone . Many of those are black volcanic sand . None of them are near the main town .

Look at some maps . Look at it on Google earth . Look at it on You-Tube . Look at the website links those give you .

is a grate place to go you have a good food all over. but why you going for so long there? other places have good restaurants ,go Rothose island or symi island, Crete Karpathos they re much better I do that trip every other year, I go in 8 deferent places. if am going next year
