Spain is a great time! I would say take the chance and try the job. Once you are there you can more easily find and apply to jobs in other cities in Spain if that's what you desire.
This is a real opportunity for you to get a real "life experience" If you feel it is in a safe area...YES! You will have the funds to pay your rent and buy food. Even if you stay only a year...or just a semester...think of what you will be taking away from there when you leave. If you want to work a side job for a few more bucks...go for it. As I think back on my life, I was offered a job 30 years ago at Lake Tahoe...when it was not much. I think about this Mistake often.
You are young once. You can do this now, and will love the experience and talk/remember it when you are older.
The average pay in Spain is about 1,000 eur per month. You would be getting about 650 per month which is pretty low. However that's a minimum according to the school. You may get more hours.
I would get the owner of the school to confirm, in writing, how many hours you can expect and to get your accommodation sorted out for you. Once they can confirm that the salary is enough to live on then why not?
Sounds like a choice u would begin 2 regret if u took it! If ur already having doubts then ib my mind u have ur mind made up!
Go for it!!! What's the uk got to offer you? Bad weather, the credit crunch and miserable people!!
no not for that no
I've been offered a TEFL teaching job in a small village in Spain.
I know how hard it is to find a reputable school, and this school is a small, family run place, with the owner being British.
The only problem is, the pay is pretty awful, only 10 Euros per hour, and a min. of 16 hours per week.
I was told housing, if shared, is about 150 Euros including bills, and the schools within walking distance.
Should I accept, as I'm having such a hard time finding a good school, and although this money is bad, is it enough to live on?
