There's no war going on in Turkey, but the was in nearby Syria is affecting parts of eastern Turkey that border with the country.
Advise against all but essential travel to:
the remaining areas of Sirnak, Mardin, Sanliurfa, Gaziantep, Kilis and Hatay provinces
Siirt, Tunceli and Hakkari provinces. There was some threat several months ago against foreigners, but the security level for both citizens and tourists are safe to vist the country
By the looks of it you have to be weary going there. I don't recommend you going. Turkey is cheap place everyone goes to anyway go to Greece of italy
just avoid the border between syria and you'll be safe
