Should the Turkish Kurds have their own state?

No. In the past several decades, the Turkish government has improved in its treatment of Turkish Kurds and has granted them more autonomy.

A complication is that if the Turkish Kurds got their own nation, it would encourage the Kurds in other countries to want the same.

ISIS adds a new twist to your question. If the Turkish Kurds did split from Turkey, would that allow them to help their fellows? Or would it make ISIS more willing to invade, since ISIS would be facing only a fragment of Turkey instead of the strength of the whole nation?

I think kurdistan should get part of the iraq region since it's mostly kurdish and iraq is messed up. But with Turkey it's more complex than that, it will cause a war and a lot of trouble but I believe the kurds should at least have a little land of THEIR OWN. They are to different to be classed as a turkish or irani or Syrian, since they have their own music, language and culture.

Lol come and ask it Kurds in Turkey, they dont wanna a own state or indepence.Did you hear population exchange ? Half of them livin in west, they have shops, markets etc and most of them dsnt support pkk or a kurdistan..you can be wise in internet if you read a story from every side also you can be totaly ignorant..In last elections in 2014 selahittin demirta? which is offical support of PKK,took only 3 million vote. And guess what 20 million Kurd livin in Turkey..See my point ?

yes of course

thats why turkey is supporting ISIS over kurdish people

Maybe they should make their own?

What do you think?
