European Spaniards are not Latinos, they are Spanish. Latinos are generally central and south american Hispanics who were colonised by the Spanish many years ago. A Latino does not consider themselves Spanish just as Spaniards does not consider themselves to be Latino
People from Spain (Europe), like Italians, are from a Latin background in the true sense of the word: people who were conquered by the Romans and speak a Romance language, in the case of Spain, the languages spoken which come from Latin are Spanish, Catalan and Galician, whereas Basque doesn't.
The usual word "latino" is a wrong use for short of the Spanish word "Latino-Americano", related to people from countries colonized by Spain and Portugal (the latter only Brazil).
That means that people from Spain are not latinos in this sense, since Spain is not in America but in Europe.
I am not Spanish but like the Spanish people I am European and the Spanish people I do know do not consider themself to be Latino as that is south americans and a different dialect of Spanish is spoken to the language they speak in Spain, The answer you got from Believer in God explains it all

Europeans? I guess they don't. They always talk about us (Latin Americans) as "Latinos". Like if they weren't. Some Italians consider themselves Latinos, as well as Romanians (they do a lot), in Spain a minority know they are Latino too, but countries such as France or Quebec (Canada) have no idea about this cultural links.
Espa?oles = Espa?a = Espa?ol.
Yes, I think they do. Just like a white person says he's caucasian and a black person an african american.
Hispanics are proud of their latin backgrounds.
Well. Do you?
