First of all the climate in Tenerife is divided in two due to the vulcano El Teide in the middle of the island. The southern part has the best climate, e.g. more hours of sun, less rain and usually a bit warmer.
The most popular resorts in the southern part are Playa de las America, Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje. All of them are lively resorts with a lot of shops, restaurants, activities etc. and are all suited for families. However, Playa de las America is the most lively and Costa Adeje the mort relaxed of these three resorts.
While in Tenerife you and your family should visit the animal adventure park Loro Parque in Puerto de la Cruz and the water park Siam Park in Costa Adeje.

Yes, actually I just know about Tenerife Island, I would recommend you Puerto de la Cruz. Your kids can visit Loro Park, which is a kind of zoo very lovely. I am sure this area will like to you all. I have bene to Las Americas and Los Christianas and I prefer Los Christianas, I am over 50 and been with daughter and grandkids and there is lots for all to do but personally we prefer Alcudia in Majorca to Tenerife, Good Luck

Thinking about going to Tenerife with the kids for our summer holiday, but don't now what part would be best. 2 kids aged 15 and 5 , we usually go to Puerto del carmen in Lanzarote, which we love but are looking for a change this year. We don't like a very quiet holiday but we don't want to down on Veronica s strip neither. Can anyone recommend a good area and nice apartment with some entertainment .Thanks
