The United Kingdom has open sewers. About the UK..?

Why are there so many open sewers in the United Kingdom? I am an Indian immigrant living in UK and I came from a rich province in India. I came here to the UK to work as an engineer. Living here I noticed the United Kingdom smells bad and has many hygiene problems. especially with the open sewers. Why doesnt the government here invest to fix these open sewers?

The United Kingdom is struggling to build high quality infrastructure.

The only open sewers in Britain are those that run out into the sea, usually a few mies from the shore and those that run into a few large rivers. I agree they are an environmental disgrace and harmful to health, because of course tides and currents move the sewage around. For health reasons therefore, I rarely eat fish. British governments have a long tradition of being very miserly about spending money on Britain's infrastructure. They would rather build nuclear submarines and weapons to pursue a pseudo colonial presence around the world

The only open sewers in the UK are ones generated by TROLLS

It is obvious that you have never been within 4,000 miles of UK. Where are these so called open sewers? name these places for us, please.

I live near a small market town. The residents resisted having main drainage, so it was one of the last towns to have sewers. That was 100 years ago.

However, in India, there are plenty of places with no sewers at all.

there are No Open sewers in the UK since the Big stink of London when the British Built one of the worlds best sewage systems

No it does not. You are thinking of India, where a large proportion of the people do not even have toilets, or know how to use one. For this reason the development agencies produce instructional material for use by their staff who educate people.

You've gotten the UK confused with India

There hasn't been open sewers for hundreds of years. Trolling fail.

Because they don't. Japan, on the other hand, does, and probably because they think it's easier to service them if they run in the open down the centre of the street.

It's only smelt bad since you arrived. The smell of troll is actually overpowering on Y!A TODAY.
