I am so scared of going to Europe in fear I will be caught up in a terror attack! I'm in fear that with all that's happening right now That something will happen to me. Terrorists are apparently flooding Europe. Should I still go or not? Please help. Prefferably European people's advice would help a lot.

This is a decision that you need to make for yourself, but I'm certainly not cancelling any of my trips to Europe scheduled for this year. I have never felt unsafe anywhere in Europe and I lived in Italy for 14 years and travelled extensively in that time. There is a lot more violence here in the US than in European countries.

It just doesn't seem to occur to you that there is more risk in your home country, but would that stop you leaving the house?

Terrorists are not flooding Europe and I have no idea why you think they are. You will be safe, after all more than 80 million people travel to France each year, 35 million go to Paris - none of these people have been caught up in a terrorist atrack.

It would seem you have some sort of phobia which you really need to get treated before it paralyses your entire life!

My brother felt the same way. Too bad. Always stayed at home. He missed some great adventures that I had in Europe. I went to 15 countries mostly alone, sometimes with others.

You really need to decide how fearful you want to be in this life.

I'm not European but have been to many countries there, also to Asia. why cancel your trip and let the terrorists win. go. have fun. see other cultures.

There have been no major terrorist attacks in Europe in ages (only small events like the Charlie Hebdo thing). The 2004 attack at Madrid train station was probably the last really big attack (unless there's one I've forgotten). Since that attack, there have been 135 school shootings in the US - so you best get yourself to Europe where you will be safe from US schools.

The chances of having a home accident that could result in death are much higher then a terrorist attack.

Oh for goodness sake, the thing in Paris was only in the news because it was so UNEXPECTED.

With the proliferation of guns in the US, anywhere in Europe is FAR SAFER than anywhere in the US.
