Okay so my family and I are going to Europe sometime next year but are still thinking where to go. So it'd be helpful to go somewhere where we speak the language to fully take in the experience. In all my family speaks French, Spanish and English. Also we'd like to go somewhere that has fun things but also some slightly educational things so we can take something it all. Any suggestions?

I have lived in Spain for 10 years and I could recommend it more! In my opinion if you are thinking of coming in August the best place would be Mallorca, There are loads of different celebrations in all different town throughout al of August. And because the island isn't very big you could spend a bit of time in each different town.

The beaches and calas are amazing and there are lots of lovely restaurants. Also in the inner part of the island there are lots of castles to visit and learn a bit about how everything was there in the Spanish civil war.

Most parts of Spain are lovely and I agree with 'NOLA guy' but my best Spanish holidays have always been spending August in Mallorca.

Where to stay - this all depends on what sort of vacation you want - and how long you have. So you could for example Fly into Paris - stay in Paris a few nights then by taking the Eurostar train service - http://www.eurostar.com/ get into the UK London and spend a few nights in the UK. or do it the other way around. Paris has some great places to see as does London.

If you like adventure sports such as white water rafting, zip lining, canyoning etc (also for people without any experience), then I suggest NW part of Slovenia. Also Slovenian caves if you're interested in geology.

UK, southern half of Belgium, France, Western Switzerland, Spain

I recommend going to Spain, and particularly southern Spain. Visit Sevilla, Cordoba, and Grenada. Take the ferry across to one of the tiny bits of North Africa that belong to Spain, just to see it (Ceuta or Melilla). Visit Gibralter. .
