I suppose it would be logical to go from north to south, as weather will be getting colder. Another reason to do that is so that you have more room to hedge against French transportation strikes, one of which got me when I was there. And, Paris is the biggest and perhaps busiest of the three cities, so maybe you want to tackle it while your parents are still fresh. So, my vote is for a third option: Paris Barcelona Madrid.
If I could choose, I would first go to Barcelona then Madrid and then Paris. That's the order from least interesting to most interesting for ME. I hope you have fun and take good pictures.
I would start in Paris, fly to Barcelona, then take the AVE (high-speed rail) to Madrid (it's about a 2.5 hour trip). Definitely don't drive to Madrid.
Two weeks? Not enough for three major cities.
You want at least a week per city.
The order you do them in is irrelevant.
Hi! :D Me and my parents are traveling to Europe in October for two weeks BUT
we are not sure in what order we should travel in. (Barcelona Paris Madrid).
We are arriving in Barcelona, but we also would like to go to Paris and Madrid.
Should we go from Barcelona to Madrid and then fly to Paris?
Or should we stay a couple days in Barcelona then fly to Paris and then drive or take the train to Madrid?
What do you think would be best?
Thanks :)
