In America: Scotland = Nessy and AYE WUD WALK FIVE HUNDRUD MILES
Ireland = St Patrick's Day and leprechauns
England = London and just generally the UK
Wales = Whaaaaaat?
SERIOUSLY WE ARE AWESOME SOMEONE PLEASE ACKNOWLEDGE OUR EXISTENCE
Once, I met an ENGLISH girl who didn't know Wales is in the UK
Y U NO LIKE US?!?!?!
,,,,,,,,and you want to keep it that way, gems/treasures are always hidden and eg while the tourists flock to London thinking that is England they miss what England is all about.
The people that matter know and you are correct Wales is a beautiful country, the language hypnotic and the culture amazing, it is also not crowded, is a place where I spent all my holidays from early childhood to well into adulthood, a country I would move to in a flash ( if I wasn't happy where I now live) and a country I do still travel to and travel through as often as I can...
In so far as many Americans they think England is the same as Britain and also the same as the UK, so I wouldn't be concerned, they also haven't a clue that there are two countries on the island of Ireland, however I wonder how many of us( British) know very much about American geography.......
I live in Ludlow for part of the year which is very close to the Welsh border. Even before I lived in the area I visited Wales often. Its natural landscape is one of the most beautiful in the world. I have walked two long distance footpaths, the Offas Dyke Path which partially traverses Wales and the Glwyndrs Way which is totally within Wales. It is a gorgeous country
Wales is by far the most beautiful country in the UK . It has some of the nicest scenery there . It has beautiful villages in the North and they are known for there wonderful personalities . I also love how they held onto there heritage without it being completely destroyed . Wales will always be under the shadow of England and Scotland only because of size thats all . But it can boast of being the most beautiful place in the UK .
Only a fool Knows Nothing about wales I lived there was at St Athens RAF station Visited many Towns and Villages
Loved the people and supported them in their Bid to speak their own language
You're daubing with a rather wide brush and your assertion that "nobody know about Wales" is ridiculous.
Lovely countryside, Cardiff and a language that looks and sounds odd.
My guess is you really know little of any of the US states except New York, California ad Florida.
Fair point, about the geography thing, but to be fair America has fifty states and Britain has five countries, it's really not that hard
They "like" their sheep.
