Wales issues?

On the Union Jack flag, there is three flags out of the four countries that make part of the UK: England, Scotland and Nothern Ireland. Why isn't Wales' flag included, isn't the country important enough, or did London just say: "Screw that dragon stuff!"

Plz halp me

Because Wales was incorporated into England earliest before anyone started thinking about national flags - in 1538, to be exact.

Great Britain was formed in 1707 by the union of England and Scotland, in 1800 Ireland was

added to form The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, Wales was not considered

a country

At the time the Union Jack was adopted as the national flag of the UK Wales was considered to be english territory and therefore represented (with England) by the cross of St George.

Because we were part of Kingdom of England at time of UNION....We WELSH are used to it....

No way! We have our own flag. The other nations on the Union flag are represented by the standards of saints, which they share with other countries, such as the old soviet republic of Georgia etc.

We have not invited them onto the Welsh flag.
