In Mexico, the neighborhoods are called "colonias" or "fraccionamientos." From looking at articles on the internet, it seems these terms are also used in Spain.

There's a word in Spanish that I can't remember, but it's basically the area of a city/town where it's a residential area, where it's just houses and villas, does anyone know what they're called? I hear it all the time on holiday programmes but I can't think of the word.
