What do you guys think ?

It was long ago enough for people to have mostly idealistic picture of it. So in people eyes it's either workers' paradise with an always greener grass and taller trees, or Mordor on Earth killing millions of its own citizens. It's like that for foreigners and it's about the same for the modern generation of Russians.

I am not Russian and i wasn't even a thought when Soviet Union existed since i am 21 :),but my Greek girlfriend`s mom studied there psychology so all i can say from what I've heard the things back in Soviet Union were magnificent!People were warm they were helping each other and very and highly educated and sophisticated.A paradise for everyone.

It was good time for me. People were kind, education was free of charge, food was cheap and so on achievements of socialism. USSR had given me everything to be successful.

I was thinking a lot about this Putin's words: "Anyone who doesn't regret the passing of the Soviet Union has no heart. Anyone who wants it restored has no brains."

I am always agree with the first part.

Now I am starting to understand the second part, because life in present Russia becomes better and better despite of West's sanctions. We need to love our history but we need to look forward.

Russians love Soviet Union and want it back, even in same polytical borders. They think it was paradise on the earth, and time of prosperety. And Putin said that the collapse of SU was the biggest polytical catastrophe.

i know nothing about the soviet Union(i'm not russian though)

but i love russia:)

70 million Russian Christians were murdered by Jewish Bolshevik in the Soviet Union.

I was born in the 1990s, but based on what my parents told me about Soviet time, life in USSR was horrible.

My wife's mother told me many stories about the ussr. One of them was how they had to share a kitchen and bathroom with u other families so no.

many regret it is over,

I don't
