I must love the place been here 30 years now.................the best thing about Spain well lets see, food/wine/climate/friendly people/nice homes/lovely beaches/good restaurants & bars.
What I don't like.........idiots who never use their signals whilst driving, then when they do they go in the other direction!!
After all these years still trying to come to grips with the language, I am put to shame by 3 year olds!
People knocking Spain just now, we are in no worse/better state than most of Europe, to be honest I still think we are on better shape then the UK!
Hope this helps.
I have holidayed there every year for the past 35 years and I love it and the Spanish people are friendly and the food is good and used to be cheap but when they changed to the euro the prices doubled and recently it has been overtaken by asian/african/arabic immigrants and it has taken away the fantastic Spanish atmosphere. Cant afford it this year.
Food , weather, culture.
Hate the driving and the BCN cops who fitted me up for a traffic offence. ( The squad cars have no cameras and there are no CCTV cameras. So it's their word against a foreigner.)
I love it because it is my country, I like the people here, our architecture, our history, our language, I think I love everything from here.
But I really hate the weather, I like cold and rainy days and here there is a lot of sun, I do not like that, call me crazy but I hate it, maybe Madrid is a bit different but I live in Barcelona and I totally dislike this also I do not like too much the food, I like Iberian ham but I do not like fish or sea food.
@Cyn: Spaniards don't care about immigrants, we are not racist as people from Northern Europe.
i love the sun and the culture (i live in england -.-) plus all the spanish people i know are gorgeous
and i hate the fact that i can't speak it D:
except for hola, mi IIamo juliet, tengo deiciseis anos.
Mi encanta espania porque es hermosa
(i haven't studied it in 2 years, don't shoot me D:)
I love it, nothing else is important!
I love the food - but hate the people and the place.
I love the food, and the Spanish people. The scenery is also gorgeous, and the wine is fantastic.
I hate the immigrants, the Arabs, the gypsies...they take away from the genuine Spanish experience and make certain areas look terrible. And they smell.
