What does a Blackpool accent sound like?

and does it differ to preston etc

I lived in Preston for 10 years and have lived in Blackpool for 37 years. I am originally from South Wales.

I cannot distinguish any differences between the Preston and Blackpool accents. They both have a typical West Lancastrian accent which is somewhat different to that of East Lancashire (Blackburn, Accrington, Burnley, Darwen etc)

By the way Blackpool is not north of Preston. It is almost due west of it, WNW to be precise.

It sounds like a Blackpool accent and while there are subtle differences is no different to a Preston accent. Its undertones are typical Lancastrian though not as broad as those of East Lancashire. It is certainly not like Cumbrian as Luke said.

Although is WEST Preston always sounds more like EAST LANCS accents of Blackburn & Accrington.....

This girl is from Blackpool have a look
