What is the best city in the UK?

I know "best" is subjective. So here is what is important to me so if anyone has any suggestions based on what I'm looking for, or can refer me to a good source of information I would appreciate the help.

I am looking for a city where I can get a job, the cost of living is low or reasonable, somewhere I can meet people my age, and either has a vibrant nightlife, art scene or local fishing/hunting(as this is how I spend my free time when I'm not partying)

I am a 23yo male with dual citizenship moving from Canada to the UK. I am a bartender so I'm looking for a city with a active night life, craft beer / cocktails, pub scene where I could get a job.

From my research I've landed on Manchester, Liverpool, and Glasgow

York...... recently declared safest city in the world, and has some of the best transport links in the country as it's also one of the most essential transport hubs on the UK rail network where the East Coast Mainline from London to Edinburgh meets up with the Transpennine rail route from Scarborough & Hull through to Leeds, Manchester & Liverpool.

It's also at least a couple of Universities, the world's largest railway museum, lots of old buildings (including a city wall going right the way around the perimeter) + the fishing is supposed to be pretty good too (mostly catch & release coarse fish in the city centre, but plenty of trout fisheries within around an hours drive or less + it's also about an hour to the sea @ Whitby or Scarborough from there).

Manc, Liverpool and Glasgow are certainly some of the bigger cities.

According to research, York is the nicest city to live in, and being in the north of England, it has the highest happiness rating as well.

Bristol is also beautiful if you want to live nearer London.

Both are student cities and have a high graduate population, so 23 year olds are plenty. They also both have a great nightclub scene. Both also have a decent number of cocktail bars, usually looking for decent tenders & flarers.

Good luck!

If you want somewhere a bit warmer, look at Bournemouth or Brighton. They are seaside resorts on the south coast with good night life. I prefer Bournemouth but Brighton is nearer to London.

There is sea fishing in UK and also angling inland. However, shooting game will be an unpopular subject with most of the people you are likely to meet in the bars.

LONDON mostly but, if TOO DEAR which it IS, Manchester is good as a second option...On the up with lots going on and WORK to be had in a conurbation of 2.7 million, with other big conurbations like Liverpool/Merseyside & Leeds/Bradford/West Yorkshire RIGHT next door.....Lots of countryside on the door step too, with The Peak District, Lake District, Cumbria, North Yorks. Moors,North Wales etc not too far.I studied in Glasgow..Is great but Manchester more happening and central....Liverpool is just 40 minutes away from us in Manchester.

Fishing -- you would need somewhere with a large lake or the sea. And hunting is banned in the UK.

Bar tenders earn minimum wage here, so finding somewhere nice to live that you can afford would be impossible.
