Yes, it is safe, the strike is over, it only lasted 24 hours. Spain is a civilized country, there have been worse riots in London for several days last year (remember?), also general strikes in France, Italy, etc.
It astounds me how the media always exaggerate the riots and how some people are afraid
I am from Barcelona, I work at the very centre of the city and I only saw the riots on TV.

I am supposed to be in spain on the 4th for a holiday, I am wondering that with the strike and riot that just happened a couple of days ago, is it still safe to visit spain?
