It snows in December in Madrid. It's gloomy, and gray at best. Figure, you need boots, a winter jacket, long pants/jeans, sweaters, gloves, scarf and a hat.

The Weather varies greatly by counties. Usually in the North it is slightly cooler than the South however overall the weather is similar in the most of Spain.

January - March: Warm, sometimes cool. Temp. around 55'F

April: Starts to get warmer, Temp. around 62'F

May - Sept: Very hot now, Temp. around 81'F

Nov - Dec: Cool yet still very warm mostly, Temp. around 42'F

August - Warmest month. January - Coolest month. :)

The rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain.

I'm going to Spain this fall and I'll be there until the end of December. How cold does it get? I'll be in Madrid. I need to know so I know what to expect and what I should pack.
