What kind of bears live in/around Amsterdam?

I am interested in working in conservation and studying bears, and I am also interested in living in Amsterdam at some point. I was hoping someone who lives there could tell me. Bears in the wild are what I hope to study so that's my main hope for this question but also what kind of bears are kept in captivity there?

There are no wild bears in the Netherlands nor, in fact, most of Western and Central Europe. There are a handful of bears in the Pyrenees and the Alps, but not many at all. Most European zoos will have one or two bears. But don't expect to see much wildlife in Amsterdam apart from cats, dogs, pigeons etc. Just do a Google search for. information on wildlife in the Netherlands.

There's the yahoo troll bear, that's a very, very frequent sight in Amsterdam, usually hangs around coffee shops.

The other bears are restricted to the Artis zoo. For wild bears you'd need to go to

Poland or even further east.

The only bears in and around Amsterdam are in zoos, I'm afraid. The Netherlands is a very built-up country.

The only bears you will find in Amsterdam will be at the gay club.

There are no Bears here in the Netherlands...
