When you look at yourself as a Briton, what do you see?
Beautiful Countryside
Architecture
A dense frequent national rail system
Writers
Artists
Musicians
Conservation organisations such as the National Trust, Woodland Trust
BBC Radio
If that was true, then why do Americans not call themselves exactly what they are Americans instead of stealing the identities of their long distant ancestors who they have no clue about?
Irish-Americans, Italian American, African Americans etc etc
People who are British are proud to be British regardless of where their ancestry is from, regardless of the colour of their skin, we are British, equal, not boxed by race, colour, religion, language and freedom depends on your definition, clearly you know zero about real freedom...freedom to walk down the street, go to school, drive without the risk of being shot by anyone...spouting words means nothing and you clearly have zero knowledge about the UK nor it seems America's appalling image in the world, on racism, thinking they are the Worlds police, judge and jury.... start in your own American back yard
I agree with David. Plus the history (piles of it) and writers like George Orwell. The British can also be sincere and generous, in a cool sort of way.
Seeing how few British people write the sort of drivel which Americans are constantly posting in the 'politics' and 'religion' sections of YA.
Everything.
As a nation we are not perfect, but we are better then many.
Our History,culture,architecture,human rights,charitable giving,music,film industry,manufacturing,inventions etc etc.
Pro rata,we are probably one of the most inventive people on earth
My sarcasm... it's fun to torture Americans with haha.
Our ability to judge people by what they do, not what they look like or what they believe.
