I live in the South-West of london, in wimbledon. It's an ok area, but the closer to the city you want to live, the smaller and more expensive houses you're gonna get. if you wanna have a big house, then you could live just outside of london, and have a good commute into the city. :) good luck
I've always liked Freezywater, in the Borough of Enfield- (yes, that is the actual name of the area, believe it or not! I didn't make that up, I promise ya!) Anyway, it's about six miles or what have ya- (give or take), up the A10- (or the Great Cambridge Road, as it's known, locally), from Edmonton- (where I come from), and it's up near Junction 25 of the M25- (also known as "the world's biggest car-park, for very obvious reasons), and my cousin lived up that way, with his family, for many years, before he finally moved down to Poole, in Dorset, quite recently.
