There are bullfights in Madrid, Seville, Salamanca & Logro?o, among other places, during September but on your exact dates the only one currently showing appears to be at Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas in Madrid, on the 15th. This particular one involves younger animals with less experienced bullfighters.

There's a week long fiesta in Salamanca with lots of bullfighting taking place. Not exactly sure of the dates. It may be the second week in September, but also may be a few days later.
Sadly for us Spaniards bullfighting still happens in Spain
But more than 2/3 of Spaniards under the age of 35 are against bullfighting, so I encourage you to enjoy it as soon as you can, since it has already been banned in 2 regions of Spain (Canary Islands and Catalonia), it is almost inexistent in the north (Galicia, Asturias) and soon it will be a thing of the past.
There are bullfights in practically every town EXCEPT in Catalonia including its capital Barcelona and also in the Canary Islands. In both territories it is banned. In Galicia and Asturias in Northern Spain it's not forbidden but there aren't practically any bullfights held because it's not typical there.
Bullfights are especially popular in Madrid and also in Andalusia.
But why do you want to attend such a horrible activity? Many foreign tourists go to see the fights thinking it's something interesting and after some time leave the ring before it's finished, some in tears and others feeling like throwing up after what they have witnessed.

I dunno about 15-17 but when I was in Spain last year studying there was definetly a Bull Run around that time Im pretty sure in Gudarrama near San Lorenzo de El Escorial, Madrid
ME CAGO EN ESTE TRADICION MALDITA! Why on earth do you want to go to Spain and see that garbage. That is one part of my culture I hate and don't understand why on earth we still support it. I understand that was an old roman tradition of the arena and bla bla bla but come on!
