Which European countries welcome foreigners?

I was born Pakistan with Indian-Pakistani background. However when I was 5 I came to America. I was thinking of spending time in some European countries. I generally have adapted to western culture and left my old religion(Islam) I wear everyday clothes, speak in a western accent. However I have a light brown skin tone. So it is recognizable that I'm a Pakistani. I am very tolerant of others and a agnostic. Also which are the safest. Which countries would I do the best.

"the concept of a western brown person confuses them"

What is this bullshit.... That's not the problem at all, the problem is that increasingly the average "brown person" doesn't even try to be a "westerner" anymore... The immigrants that we got 20 and more years ago were hard-working guestworker families who came here looking for a better life, often religious but never fanatically so and more out of tradition and respect for their elders than anything else. More often than not, in one or two generations they were sufficiently integrated. Not so today... The vast majority of the illegal refugees that we get today are by-products of the poisonous cultures that they have to keep fleeing from, generally very backward and often very violent, with no concept of tolerance or civility, hopelessly uneducated and psychotically religious or just plain old murderers and rapists. The majority go out of their way to segregate themselves from mainstream society, forming little enclaves everywhere they go. This is never going to work.

I live in Hungary as a resident married to a citizen.

lately Hungary has been on the front pages of the news with their anti-immigration stand.

Of course HU is not really a wealthy country and it can not take so many immigrants illegally coming in through the South.

I lived most of my life in the SW USA and have seen how illegal immigrants change a place over time. The people who adapt , learn the local language, work hard etc. and mind their business usually do ok and their children are American like anyone born in the US.

The problem is with people who come to a new country and expect it to change to their ways, carry flags and follow customs that just do not belong in another new place.

My father was an immigrant from Poland to the US, he refused to even talk about the old country because he wanted his kids to be Americans.

My husband lived in the US for over 40 years and our son does not know much HU. He is also an American.

Why bother to move to a new country if you want it to be just like home was.

at present? not many countries welcome foreigners. I think if you keep your head down and just stay in tourist areas you'll be ok don't expect to be 'welcomed' though you aren't a VIP or a visiting dignitary. and if you want to know safety of countries check the appropriate websites regarding international travel and travel advisories

I'm the same (mixed indian with french..I look arab)... I'm from the UK though.. Yeah Europeans are definitely more tolerant than Americans but the are not as accepting as americans e.g the concept of a western brown person confuses them

Because you speak english you should try the UK...

Because of employment you should try to live in a northern/Western European country e.g uk, Belgium, Germany ,

Remember even though we are western we look eastern lol, Europeans will be skeptical of you at first, then will come around..

As a tourist you are welcome in all European countries.

As an immigrant, nowhere. Not because of your skin color, no immigrants coming into Europe are welcome in Europe at the moment.

Please. We are well used to 'western brown persons' here. Sounds like YOU'RE the one with the chip in your shoulder.

All European countries welcome foreigners - as tourists. Bit more complicated if you're hoping to move.

MOST of Europe of course..Maybe NOT Russia and one or two other nasty Eastern European places....

Almost all, but the most Balkan countries

Same yes.
