What cities and what places within the cities should I visit. I'm looking for places which have historical places, natural beauty and have big populations like Venice, Paris & Athens. Also is it a good time to visit it in late December to early February.
There are many, many wonderful cities in Europe ... but don't miss out Barcelona in Spain and any city in Sicily [Italy] and these would be pleasant during November to February in contrast to the other more northern cities and countries which will be cold and wintery grey ... !
It's a lot of places to visit even over 2 or 3 months so don't try to do too much. Watch out for Christmas. In England a lot of places will shut except places doing lunch which will be very busy. London and Amstredam are always worth a visit. In England York is good especially if you like history including the Minster and the Jorvik Centre.
Almost every place in Europe is worth visiting. Lots if history. December to February is a good time to visit in that it is low season in many places and can at times be cheaper than summer. Very cold in some places though...
in december or winter you can't miss turin... it's a great city rich of history... a lot museums... and also during winter you can see a lot of wonderful places...
