Most rich people around the world try to be modern since they can afford new technology devices. Why are rich British people so old fashioned?
I'm American so I can't give you completely right information, but a lot of "posh" people in the UK stent like that. But I do think about it a lot. My theory is that its the way the US associates rich and classy people with a Queens English / Oxford type accent in movies and such. Another reason people like that remind us of old people is because, when you think about it, the old people here are generally either English themselves or of English descent. So its really more of the older Americans mimicking the British, rather than the posh British people being old fashioned. That's how I see it at least.
Classical music is enjoyed by not so "posh" people. If you watch the BBC promenade concerts, you will see all sorts of people in the audience.
Not many people wear hats, unless it's cold. baseball caps are very popular.
There is no "old fashioned way" in English. Ther are just fferent accents.
I suspect you base your opinion on TV shows.
For the past 40 years I have never seen any man in a hat. The only men that do that are kids with baseball caps.
A huge amount of 'normal' people enjoy classical music, many of them young people. There are kids orchestras all over the UK. They even go to State schools.
Have you ever been to the UK ?
Why do you think only 'posh' people listen to classical music? And why is classical music 'old fashioned'?
All sorts of people of all ages wear all sorts of hats. Sorry but your ideas are nonsensical
are you judging based on stereotypical movies or something? The only thing I've noticed about rich Britons is that they don't tend to spend money on new and flashy/trashy crap. If they bought a quality jacket 20 years ago, it still looks good and they still wear it. Same with cars and other things. They tend to buy quality and look after their stuff, unlike rich Americans who like to buy to show people how rich they are
I like classical music and wear a beanie at present when I go out to keep my ears warm. I have a southern but not posh accent, Otherwise I'm dead common.
Because most are ex-public schoolboys who don't live in the real world and they are the very people running the country such as David Cameron, fifth cousin to the queen, who doesn't even know the cost of a loaf of bread. When asked he said, ''we bake our own.''
Dunno. I am up to date and not old fashened and I am 18, but I never get called posh, I get called a chav and I can't afford the posh kind of life anyway. Spose I am more of a chav then a posh person though.
Your many years out of date have you been watching to many 1950s films
You haven't been to the UK have you? Get some up to date videos.
