Just peruse the comments section on the assorted Daily Mail + Daily Express news sites on the occasional news story they run on some gormless staff member at TESCO being a bit of a jobsworth.
There's usually a few people complaining about attitutes of staff in their local store + assorted products not being up to scratch.
Question to a food producer: which would you rather meet, a terrorist with a Kalashnikov or a Tesco buying agent?
Reply: The terrorist, because you can negotiate with him. Never happens with Tesco, they just steam-roller you.
I have never heard anybody hating Tesco. I don t use it often because other supermarkets are closer.
It is just one of those left wing loony campaigns. They hate Starbucks, MacDonalds and other companies too.
Tesco is also perceived by the ignorant as being a Jewish company as is M&S.
Yesterday in Cornwall the only potatoes they had were IMPORTED. No King Edwards which is a standard British spud. The Supervisor said there are none in the depot. This is why people hate them. They buy in rubbish goods from abroad and ignore local producers. They and the other supermarkets are also closing down the dairy farms by buying cheap milk from abroad.
Like most big supermarket chains they claim to be the cheapest which they are not. Customer service in their stores is minimal and often rude. Worse still they pay so little for produce to British farmers that they have bankrupted many of them and like all supermarkets they sell far too much unhealthy processed food at the expense of Organic products
I won't shop in Tesco anymore. Crappy quality, dirty shops and some of the staff don't care about customer service.
Bad quality, in my opinion. I do not shop at Tesco.
Because Tesco are biggest, they get the blame for all supermarket dodgy practices.
Overpriced, aggresive anti other shops marketing, poor quality, the stores are a waste of time going round - they do not have to be so bloody BIG.
Terrible produce handling, as for the families abuses of the legal and political system one could go on for hours.
I am the same race but they are embarassing.
