At best, I think that some British might occasionally resent the ludicrous sense of self - importance that many Americans have, and their knowledge of world history, which is often either severely limited, or coloured in such a way that they believe that they can rightfully take the credit for everything. Often they boast about "winning" things, and don't realise that they are the only ones who actually believe it. To be far though, this isn't always their fault; the US education system is shamelessly nationalistic to the point where "facts" are often plucked from the ether for no other reason that to bolster the nation's collective ego.
But again, many Americans don't fit the national stereotype.
Snobbishness is ingrained within British culture to a higher degree than it is in America - especially among those Brits that have no reason to be snobbish about anything. Educated Brits understand that the universe unfolds as it should. Here today, gone tomorrow. Others, deriving self-identity from an imperial past that they never experienced, or allegiance to a soccer team for which they never played, will borrow status from wherever it is available. Americans, and everyone else, would be well advised to heed criticism from only those that they either respect or depend upon in some material way.
Most of us Brits do not look down on Americans instead, my generation in particular, are always aware that the Americans lead us to a great victory over tyranny in WW2. It was a joint effort, as indeed are many of the things we do together as allies.
If you start digging into the history of our two nations, you will not be surprised to learn that from day one following the Revolution, the British and Americans formed what can only be described as an everlasting alliance.
While we have our differences, we are nations with democratic instincts and thus can agree to disagree and set aside those differences so to achieve what we both want and need, together.
Go back and you will not be surprised to learn that the enter enterprise is founded firmly on English Leveller thinking, Magna Carta and English Common Law. We can argue as much as we like about that, but it makes no difference, because it all started right here in muddled England when in the Middle Ages we decided to form a set of rules which included such as 'trial by jury' and a whole bunch of other things we which we will not ever give up and which we have fought and died for.
I come from a town called Hastings here in England. Back in c1820 we flew the American Flag and declared part of our town to be "The America Ground". It did not come to much, but it at least shows a determination to have 'freedom' at any cost.

One other thing you should know about us Brits is that back in the day over 50% of us supported the American Revolutionary cause - "Join us or Die" was as popular here as over there. But they don't teach any of that in American schools - thus the dead myth of our hate for each other is kept alive by those who seek to destroy the very powerful blood bond which exists between our two nations.
This film made during WW2 to help Americans get to know us, is as true now as it was back then. Nothing has changed except the date.

They don't. But America is starting to look like a very fractured society, the religions are weird and the political system is dysfunctional. Other countries (why pick out the Brits?) are a bit puzzled by the way the police operate.
Sorry to disappoint you but the British rarely waste any time even thinking about Americans
We don't. Never make the mistake of believing internet trolls.
However, judging by some of your answers, it appears that some Americans who have never visited UK have an inferiority complex!
they don't in general we are blood brothers really but money is dividing the world it will eventually make us all enemies it's not the people it's money that talks today and it's never been a good representative
Because they're pompous. Then they come here to be famous with Americans
I Don t think they do I have a family in America I have American sister in law
