Why do they speak Mexican in Spain?

Posted at: 2015-06-30
I had the same problem in Mexico.

I came upon people speaking Nahuatl, Maya, Mixtec, Zapotec, and goodness knows what else.

At least in Miami, Fla. everyone spoke Spanish.

P.S. (Sunday) by the way , the language known as 'Mexican' is Nahuatl.

They don't speak Mexican in Spain but SPANISH in both! Mexicans have another accent than Spanish people the same way as Americans have another accent than British people!! Many "old" people in Spain don't speak ENGLISH(not american) because they learned french at school instead of English. Columbus was an spanish/italian man who discovered America and then other European countries (like the UK) came to America. Thats why they talk English, French, Spanish, Portuguese etc. in the Americas.

Troll...you're back.

You know very well that there is no such language as "Mexican" and that Spain colonized much of the "New World", leaving behind the people, the language, and the culture of the "mother country".

Your question is like asking why they speak "United Statesian" in Britain.

The United States and Canada WERE colonized by the British.

Maybe you need to go back to first grade, which is when you would have learned this information.

Uhm dude Mexicans speak spanish, Spain people speak spanish, and so do a lot of other countries, and Christopher Columbus was from Spain which makes him spanish so yea the guy who discovered America was spanish, and also Mexicans have different grammar in their spanish language than Spain does. That was honestly the stupidest question I've ever read but it was a good one

I cant tell if this is a joke or not, but here goes.

They speak Spanish in Mexico and Spain.

You, my fellow amigo, speak English, not American. American is a nationality not a language. English is also a nationality but they created the language so therefore they are credited.

Christopher Columbus was a Spanish man, and America is founded on a group of British men. Try migrated over and claimed the new world.

Hope you enjoyed your basic history lesson. If this is for real, please get out more?

I'm equally as confused as you, to add to my confusion someone told me they speak Portuguese in Brazil and I was like, no they don't. I heard the vikings discovered America after fleeing from the 100 dark years of attacks by the loch ness monster. It wasn't discovered by some Spanish guy, Spain was discovered by Mexicans, why else would they speak Mexican there.

I think the word you're looking for is SPANISH.

Otherwise, take some anti-troll pills.

They speak Spanish in Spain,

In Mexico its Spanish with different dialects,

In Puerto Rico they speak Spanish also with different dialects.;

I could go on and on with different countries who speak Spanish............................You need some new teachers at your school.............................!

I love it when bad comedians share their act here.

I just took a poop in my hand

I recently went there for a vacation and everyone I ran into spoke Mexican. They didn't even have the decency to speak american. I asked my Geography teacher but she said that America was colonized by the British. BUT I KNOW IT WASN'T. Also, people kept telling me that a Spanish guy discovered America, but it was always here.

Someone please help.
