Because ukrainian politicans haven't skill to rob taxpayers in new Russian style. If you learn last 15 years history of Russia and 23 years of Ukraine, then can to understand. But when common people intervene in the affairs of high politics, their begin to call terrorists, separatists and almost devils, because of 30% GDP and no more.
Only some southeastern parts of the Ukraine are Russian speaking, thats one reason. Not all residents there want to leave the Ukraine. I have not heard of any people wanting to join Russia, just to become autonomous or independent, which is not likely, as the U.S. and EU have too much to gain from Ukraine remaining one country.
The eastern part of Ukraine was doing ok until these lunatic fascists criminals took over the government in Kiev. They have mining, gas and other resources and business.
So you have to distinguish between the western Ukraine and southeastern.
Simple, they don't want to be. You could say the same about Ireland and the UK. We like having our own freedom, laws, etc... Even though the UK is more powerful, we simply don't care.
Because some Ukrainian citizens are bribed and some others brainwashed by jWestern politicians and banksters. Most of them are not even ethnic Rus'/Ukrainian, but khazars.
And for million's time: Dzhugashvili-Stalin was GEORGIAN, who "killed" much more ethnic Russians than any other ethnic group in ex-USSR.
It could be because Stalin murdered MILLIONS of Ukrainians in the war years. Ukrainians might have an understandable disgust with everything Russian.
