Third-country nationals required to hold an airport transit visa
1. Nationals of the third countries listed in Annex IV shall be required to hold an airport transit visa when passing through the international transit areas of airports situated on the territory of the Member States.

You might. I would contact a Spanish Embassy or Consulate and ask them what you need to do. Be sure to tell then that you're from Ghana (or whatever country your passport is from.)
Check with your airline, Iberia, they know best. It all depends on your nationality, not your country of residence.

I will be visiting home(GHANA) from MOROCCO where i live legally. I found a relatively cheaper flight via MADRID, spain by Iberia.Since the question of SCHENGEN comes in will i need to have a TRANSIT VISA before being allowed on flight??
