I have to do work experience and the letter is due in less than aa week. i live in london hayes and i am in year 10 15 years old. Im looking for a placement not too far from here. I want to do something fun and different and interesting. Can you please give me a list of places i can try in and/or around my area. It would be better if you know if that plce are gonna accept me.

You get out and go door knocking on the businesses local to you and ask them if they would consider having you in their business for work experience.

What I find is the student who ask me is they have not got the information I need to make any decision and so it means it is easy to say no........ so you need to know dates, you m=need to know if your school is insuring you which is important for small businesses and they will need to know the contact person/number and school you go to........ so once you know those then go out and find something...... you can also ask family and neighbours if the company they work for would consider you for an experience 'day' 'week' ...and work experience is not about what you call something fun and different and interesting it is about time management, team work and listening skills...it is EXPERIENCE or WORK, the reality of that... you want something fun and different and interesting stay at school

Ordnance Survey might help. They will have surveyors in your area. You would need to be prepared to work outside all day and get a bit dirty.

Try Heathrow Airport which is the biggest employer in your area providing it is Hayes Middlesex you are in and not Hayes Kent
