Nobody here even cares about your background. If you come, you will find that people in Spain speak Spanish and will probably not understand you if you spaek English. That's why their language is called Spanish.
I think that people that worry about running into racism are far more likely to run into it. Just do not even think about it. If you run into a rude person, ignore them, the unemployment rate is so high in Spain that Spaniards have been coming here to Mexico to work. I would not worry about it all. I am sure they are used to people from North America speaking Spanish a bit differently than they do, but they will appreciate if you try to communicate. People here in Mexico get a kick out of listening to visitors from Spain, too.

Okay, well I'm not actually Mexican, but American of Mexican descent.
I'm going to Spain with my friend, but I've heard Spaniards dislike Latin Americas. Is that true? I speak Spanish, but not real Spanish, like Spaniards. But I speak better English, so should I just speak English and act like I don't know Spanish?
I know there will be racists and non racists everywhere, but just in general. Like for example here, if a Muslim who covers themselves go somewhere, she might face racism, or some people might secretly not like Muslims, but not be racist to them, since here racism is seen as like very bad, and people will say we're not in the 60's anymore.
