Who wants to live in Mexico? Nobody, not even Mexicans.
I am from Spain. I think your choice should be based on what fits better for you. However, let me tell you that Spain and Mexico are not similar at all. It's like saying that the UK and the USA are similar because they speak the same language.
Each country has very different cultures, but both cultures are very rich and have a lot of history.
While Spain is not in its best shape when it comes to economy, life standards in the country are pretty good.
Before going to live to a country, I would recommend having a short stay and see how it feels. What works for someone else might not work for you, and that's a very important decision.

I would choose Mexico, it is much closer to family, and it has a lot of fun, the problem is I am not a Mexican food person Dx

There are jobs in Mexico! Lots of them for qualified people.
I would prefer not to live in DF but there are some nice places nearby.

The third largest is Colombia, with a population of 45 million, and the fourth largest is Argentina with 42 million.
Spain and Mexico both are known for their vibrant cities and nightlife filled with pizzazz.
