Looking at things such as the Saturday Bazaar Market, Manavgat market, the Antalya town, the Roman ruins at Side, ald the Troy aqua Park. Have you done any of these? How would you rate them.
Also - is it Turkish Lira or Euros here? Or Both?!!?
We're staying at the Riu Kaya Palazzo if you're familiar with that?
You're gonna have an amazing time, the beaches are lovely there!!! We went last year for 14 nights, beautiful place! 1000000% visit the Aqua Park but go on a week day, you get to swim and touch the Dolphins!!!!!!!!!
I only know Belek for its golf, which has come a long way in the last ten or so years and is now on par (no pun intended!) with the best golf resorts of Portugal and Spain. Other than that, the Antalya region is of course a huge tourist attraction, with tens of millions of tourists each year.
Also, it's just about the only part of the country where you're pretty much guaranteed heat and sun in May. (You can of course get that in the Marmaris/Bodrum region as well, if you're lucky, but it could equally well be cool and cloudy in the early season.)
It's Turkish lira, of course, but especially for any bigger purchases (say, jewellery or carpets) they will very happily take foreign currencies, esp. Euro and Dollar, also Sterling.
Go to Witt magazine website many things there regarding Turkey .....at this time of year prepare for long lines to do anything in Istanbul or Turkey in general ; Turkish Lira is the local currency I would suggest changing money .....must visit town of Bebek lovely seaside town
Its sea is with waves. Kemer is more beautiful in Antalya.
