any congestion in london?

The Congestion Charge will be suspended for a week over the Christmas period, including the four weekdays between Christmas Day and New Year's Day. From Thursday 25 December until Thursday 1 January 2015 (inclusive) there will be no charge for driving in the Congestion Charging zone. The daily charge will apply from Friday 2 January 2015.

The Congestion Charge is an £11.50 daily charge for driving a vehicle within the charging zone between 07:00 and 18:00, Monday to Friday.

Yes, London is a city of 8 million people, and car ownership is a lot easier now than ever before, so it does get congested. However, due to the congestion charge, and improvements in public transport, it is a lot better than it used to be. I would still say that taking the tube (subway system) is your best bet for getting around quickly. They are very efficient and good value for money.

Not only are most main roads in Greater London very congested, but parking is very restricted and very expensive. There is also a £10 per day Congestion Charge to drive into central London. It is far netter to use the excellent dense high frequency public transport network made up of the Underground, 500 + bus routes, rail lines. the Docklands Light Railway and trams

yes there are areas where they charge you a congestion fee to drive through

My solution never drive in London that way the London councils cannot steal money from you

Loads. So much so that you have to pay a congestion charge to drive there in order to try and reduce traffic congestion. I would suggest using any of the numerous methods of public transport available, such as the tube.

Most of the time - though it is less of a problem between midnight and 4 am.

Of course they are.
