The 'Kromme Elleboogsteeg' (bend elbow alley.) It is hard to find, google does knot know it, but as I have seen it with my own eyes, as well as the 'Rechte Elleboogsteeg' (straight elbow alley) I am sure they do exist. The bend one has three bends, the straight one just one.

I think that is about the best name for a location in Amsterdam I have encountered although there are more lovely ones in town.

Like the zwarte lakensteeg and the blauwe laken steeg, black and the blue bedsheet allies. (although at the time they were named Laken meant a kind of woven wool.)

Nadorststeeg (after thirst alley) and Kalfvelsteeg, (calf skin alley)

are great too.

My favorite place in Amsterdam is the Van Gogh Museum, but there are lots of great places to visit depending on what you're looking for and your personal interests.

Red Light District.
