It is possible to see some parts of Scotland from parts of the Irish coast. I have seen the Mull of Kintyre from near Bushmills and from Ballycastle (and could see Raithlin Isle as well and was not confusing the two) and Portpatrick is visible from around Whitehead and Millisle.
