do people from turkey eat turkey?

Yes. Whole roast turkey has been a New Year's tradition in Turkey for quite a while (probably mimicking the American Thanksgiving and Christmas tradition), and in recent years turkey meat in various forms has been gaining popularity in everyday use as well.

Interesting bit of trivia: did you know that the word 'turkey' and the name of the country 'Turkey' are actually related, ie. it isn't just a coincidence? Several centuries ago European travellers came across the guineafowl in the Ottoman Empire (ie. modern-day Turkey), and although that bird originates in Africa they started calling it the 'Turkey-bird' in reference to Turkey where they had first seen it. When Europeans later started to settle North America and saw the wild turkey, they thought it was the same bird (which is fair enough, as they do look very similar) and therefore called it Turkey-bird, which over the years got shortened to just 'turkey'.

Your question: "Do people from turkey eat turkey?"

Yes, at least in Turkey.

This link leads to a site for a company claiming to be the first brand name company in Turkey offering turkey meat to Turkey: ? http://www.bolcahindi.com.tr/en/

The company is Bolca Hindi.

The name Hindi usually refers to the guineafoul.

But I think in this case it refers to domestic turkey, which was introduced from Mesoamerica to Europe after the Spanish conquest of the area.

There is a video at the site which demonstrates that the birds are turkeys.
