London is actually lots of towns and villags that have gradually joined together. Each one still has its own individual character. Some are horrible. However some are beautiful. Most are somewhere in between.
London has buildings that were built by the Romans. There are also buildings from every age since including Medieval, Rennaissance, Victorian and ultra modern buildings.
Most pictures show the tourist area near the centre with grand buildings. However, over 8 million people live in London, so most of the area is residential.
Try looking on Google Street View.

The tourist areas are well known because brits have an extreme media power:))
Bad weather... ugly people... good but problematic transport... expensive city...

The city is well planned may be that can be said... otherwise its really a very sick city...
bus drivers dont even stop at the bus stops:) everyday someone jumps infront of the train and messes up the whole ******* rail traffic:)
I would NEVER visit london...
Try Rome Paris... New York City...
