how is east london perceived?

How I perceive it as multicultural with a long history of providing a safe place to live for refugees from other parts of the world. Quite a poor area generally although parts of it are improving economically since the Olympic Stadium and park were built at Stratford, East London

By whom? Those three girls were part of the 72 requested. The other 69 could not be located. That is East London for you.

I have never like East London: crime, poverty, a sort of miserable feel to it.

In all sorts of different ways:

NEGATIVES: run down, poor, a haven for Islamic fundamentalists, working class, crime ridden, crumbling housing estates, poorly-educated people.

POSITIVES: fashionable, affordable, diverse, human, friendly, haven for artists and liberals.

It a place where hipsters go to play at being poor, and where the genuine poor are being pushed out. It's social cleansing on a grand scale.

Tower blocks full of bankers.

BETTER than it was....
