There is a peace agreement between the Ukraine government and the Russian government over the Eastern Ukraine situation. If you mean the sanctions against Russia that may not be permanent. It may also send Russian business away from EU and US. I think the sanctions were foolish and short-sighted. Here is a list of the sanctions against Russian business and individuals. All I know is some MacDonalds in Moscow are forced to close down. Good riddance. I would trust in Putin and the business community to make up the losses from sanctions and find new ways to keep Russian economy moving forward.
I think Russia will ultimately restore its influence an control over the former states in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Thus regaining its status as a superpower.
I hope, this situation will open our leadership eye, that developing doesn't mean only like on the west. But even if it happens, common people do not notice it soon. Even more: everything is still the same except for the common people, excluding muxh muxh more sh*ts in the Internet.
