Don't worry! London is very multicultural and you will see people of all colours and races. Of course everywhere has bigots and racists but London is one of the least likely places you will come across them. I have lived in suburban London all my life (all 49 years of it!), our law imposes harsher penalties for doing anything wrong if it is racially or religiously motivated, and you will be most welcome at least to most of us. Come and enjoy!
We are not France and I know the French see things rather differently. They aren't even nice to me in Paris if I can't speak French JUST the right way. But we're used to more difference and diversity, partly because of the former British Empire - that has meant we have had people here from all parts of the world for years. Largely from India and the Caribbean, which also means restaurants in London of all kinds. Not so many Arabic ones but perhaps you can find one of those too :)
The Charlie Hebdo event happened in Paris, France not London, UK. London is the most multi-cultural city in the World' You would be very unlikely ( and unlucky) to encounter any racism, unfortunately though there are bigots and racists in every society.
You need to realise that the Charlie Hebdo incident was not created by London citizens, nor did it take place in London, nor was it about racism aimed at you.
charlie hebdo ??? Paris France, a completely different city and country, London is in the UK nothing to do with France, that would be like suggesting a city in Tunisia is the same as one in Greece........
London and the rest of the UK is one of the least racist countries in the world, safe, multicultural and to be honest we really do not care where you are from or what you wish to classify yourself as, just arrive be a polite guest in our country , enjoy yourself, spend your money and return home
London is massively multicultural, and one of the least racist places I have ever been.
Like everywhere, there are a few isolated idiots, but on the whole you shouldn't have any issues at all.
London can have bad racism but it should be ok. Just watch out for gang areas.
Is RACISM but helps to know LONDONERS have roots ALL OVER THE WORLD...
We are NOT France. The UK is multicultural you will melt in with everyone else.
