raveling to Europe alone.?

I am a 20 year old college student and Ive decided to travel Europe this summer. I definitely want to go to Spain, France, Germany, and Italy. Where should I start? I am also planning to stay in hostels while I'm there; how much money would be ideal to bring for about a month and a half or 2 month trip?

Start by making a list of places and things you really want to visit, even just 4 countries offer more than you can see in 2 months, they offer more than you can see in 2 years, so you have to make selections.

Plan to stay in each place for at least 2 nights, plan a week for each main city. You are likely to change your plans and put more in while traveling, so better make it possible.

You will need a full day of travel between the countries and often already between main cities in the countries.

Do not just plan to see cities, Europe is more countryside and small towns and those are also great to stay in.

At this time about $US 100 per day is a good target, with the exchange rates as they are you might get by with less.

If you do a lot of traveling, like being in the train for hours every second or third day a rail pass is likely going to be cheapest, but for most people buying long distance tickets 3 months before traveling and buying local train tickets, like up to two hours of travel, a day or three before traveling, is going to be a lot cheaper.

Seek out the site 'seat 61' and read the rail passes page.

And google for German railway planner, to work out your travel times.

150 Euros a day. Don't forget that we have trains here.

MIN.100 usd per day.
